Biología 1º ESO
Biología y Geología es la asignatura en la que descubrimos cómo es la vida y cómo funciona nuestro planeta. A lo largo del curso, estudiaremos tanto la Tierra como los seres vivos, realizando experimentos, trabajos en grupo y actividades en inglés.
Empezaremos conociendo la geosfera, la atmósfera y la hidrosfera, es decir, las partes que forman el planeta Tierra. Veremos cómo interactúan entre sí y cómo los procesos geológicos y externos modifican el relieve. Después, nos adentraremos en el estudio de los seres vivos: desde los microorganismos (virus, bacterias y protoctistas), hasta organismos más complejos como los hongos, plantas y animales, tanto invertebrados como vertebrados.
También aprenderemos sobre los ecosistemas, comprendiendo las relaciones entre los seres vivos y su entorno. Una parte importante del curso estará dedicada al cuerpo humano, en especial a los aparatos relacionados con la nutrición: digestivo, respiratorio, circulatorio y excretor, así como a la importancia de mantener hábitos de vida saludables.
Para terminar el curso, pondremos en práctica lo aprendido realizando un proyecto científico, aplicando el método científico con observación, investigación y experimentación.

Biology and Geology is the subject where we explore living things and the physical structure of our planet. Throughout the year, we will study both the Earth and life in all its forms, using experiments, teamwork, and activities in English.
We will begin by learning about the geosphere, the atmosphere, and the hydrosphere — the parts that make up the Earth. We will discover how they interact and how geological and external processes shape the planet. Then, we will explore life on Earth: from microorganisms like viruses and bacteria, to more complex organisms such as fungi, plants, and animals, both invertebrates and vertebrates.
We will also study ecosystems, understanding how living things relate to each other and their environment. A special part of the course focuses on the human body, where we will learn about the systems involved in nutrition — digestion, breathing, blood circulation, and excretion — and the importance of maintaining healthy habits.
To finish the year, we will apply what we have learned by carrying out a scientific project, using observation, research, and experimentation.
